ENGINEERED FLOORING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDATIONS.
► The ground on which the flooring will be assembled on has to be smooth and should not show any level differences. The differences of levels should not exceed (+/- 2mm) in 250 cm’s.
► Before starting to install the flooring, an aluminium foil has to be laid on the ground and the parquet installation has to be started by assembling the Groove side to the wall
► The humidity value of the ground has to meet the required humidity content 25 by a humidiometer – GANN hygrometer.
► All plumbings should be reviewed, water leaks which may accure because of anything should be absolutely eliminated.
► It’s recommended to place a wedge between the wall and material.
► On both tongue and groves glue has to be applicated and should be fixed to each other.
► The glue which pours out should be cleaned with a fresh swab.
► After the slabs are being compressed with a lever arm the wedges should be removed and the skirtings have to be applied to the wall-floor connection.
► The ground should be swept against dust and construction wastes
► All the window and joinery works have to be finished before the assembling works are getting started.
THE MAINTENANCE OF ENGINEERED FLOORING
The life of Engineered Flooring can be extended with the following maintenance instructions:
► In the beginnig, Pebbles and dust should be kept away from the floor. In this respect, Placed in both the front and the back of the door mat system and closing the gaps beneath the door is important. It should be used protective seals under the tables and chairs against scratch.
► Second protection method is; using less water to clean. Large amount of water used will cause the swelling and discoloration. Dry swab or vacuum cleaner should be used during the cleaning.
► Third and the most important protection method is that, wipe the stains before they are drying. The floor should be wiped with wet swab after cleaning the stain.
SPOTS THAT MAY APPEAR IN LAMINATED PARQUET
► Some kind of stains should be cleaned with water and by washing up liquid such as; fruit, milk, soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee, tea etc. If the flooring is oiled an oil refreshing should be used after the water application.
► Stains like oil, chocolate, shoe polish, shoe sole marks, tar, asphalt etc. should be cleaned with white spirit.
► Ink, lipstick, carbon paper and so on, should be cleaned with methyl spirit.
► For urine stain a washing up liquid should be used.
► Cold water should be used while cleaning the blood stain.
