► Before beginning to the installation all four sides of the Cladding boards should be treated with a water based stain as preservative against UV rays. This will safe the cladding turning into grey. After the installation one more layer of coating has to be applied on the surfaces of the material. (all materials can be provided by Novawood as one coat oil applied)

► The carcassing which has to be used beneath the Claddings have to be Thermowood Materials.

► The intervals of the used carcasses for the facade application should not be more than a maximum of 40-50 cm.

► If iron profiles are going to be used as carcassings ,it’s important that those iron profiles should not be fixed directly to the claddings. The iron profiles have to have a wooden connection between the iron profiles and claddings.

► A 2,5 cm (1”) distance have to be left between the wall and the cladding material.

► It is recommended to use a kind of steam equaliser (tyvek or its equivalent) behind the claddings.

► The grove side of the cladding boards have to look down in order to prevent water absorbtion.

► If an insulation material behind the claddings is needed; the cladding distance has to be hold by using L Profiles and/or carcassings. A 2,5 cm (1”) distance have to be left between the wall and the cladding material which is highly recommended.

► During the installation works it’s highly recommended to use stainless steel fixing elements such as nails and PU Glue for glueing. Where the heads are connected in longitudinal length polyurethane glue is not recommended It’s also necessary to glue the jointings with the same recommended glue type.

► It should be paid attention that the heads (year rings) are not exposed to water and the implementation details should be resolved in this direction.

► There should be movement space between the tongue - groove while it’s assembled.

► At the corner joints L Profiles should be used. If connections have to be made with 45-degree the joints should be glued with PU glue.

► Novawood recommends to use Jansen, Restol and Remmers Products for the need of stain or their equivolent. For glueing ; Sika T55, Thomsit, Kleiberit or their equivalent should be used
